Former Brazos County Historical Commission member Rosemary Boykin died on Sunday, June 15, 2008, in College Station, Texas. As a member of the BCHC, Rosemary, with the help of her husband, Cal, conducted the first survey of all historic markers in Brazos County. She was also responsible for the research and writing that led to the approval of the Steele's Store historic marker. Even after she left the BCHC, she continued to contribute to local preservation efforts and was a cherished member of our community. We will miss Rosemary's enthusiastic spirit, and we extend our condolences to her family. Her obituary is available here.
